If there is one thing you learn about Catalyst employees, it’s that we all love food! There are several self-professed foodies among us, and it’s not unusual to hear us talking about last night’s great dinner, swapping favorite recipes, and discussing cooking techniques. We even brag about our creations on Facebook.
But we can all learn more about the art and science of cooking. So, Catalyst holds regularly scheduled culinary classes, taught by local chef Garamy Whitmore. March 25th marked the second in the series, and in this class Catalyst learned hands-on about a variety of techniques, including how to “temper” eggs (see video) for a custard. Everyone at Catalyst got in on the action in one of the main courses, an oriental salad using pre-cooked boneless chicken wings! The group broke into teams of two or three, and were responsible for one aspect of the dish.
